The Music Department is committed to the study of music as an important element of a truly excellent liberal arts education. A primary goal is to offer students—regardless of their major field of study and whatever their career goals might be—the opportunity and means to experience music emotionally and intellectually, at the highest possible level.
Our faculty specialize in a wide range of music disciplines, including performance, musicology, conducting, music theory, and composition. Comprised of six full-time and 18 adjunct members, the faculty are professionally active regionally, nationally, and internationally.Learn about our faculty
