Important notes about Ensembles:

you do not have to major in music–most of our ensemble students are students in other majors who love music and the sense of community our ensembles offer
most of our ensembles are open to all levels of experience
you can participate in as many ensembles as you like, though you will only be allowed to register for one in your first semester. This is ok!!
Be sure to register for your ensemble when you select your courses!

Important notes about Private Lessons:

We have world-class performers teaching students of all levels
Lessons are available for no credit (MUS 140) or .25-credit (MUS 141–you will have a performance jury at the end of the semester.
Lessons are 50 minutes, once each week.
There is an additional fee for lessons ($600/semester) which can be offset with scholarships once you are here. After a student declares a music major or minor, the department pays this fee.
You can register for lessons when you select your courses!
