A versatile performer and educator, Ian Moschenross is an active soloist and collaborator; he also regularly conducts masterclasses and adjudicates festivals and competitions. In the studio and classroom, Dr. Moschenross teaches applied and group piano, as well as music theory and history courses. He has held teaching positions at Monmouth College (IL), Grinnell College, (IA), and Central College (IA). At Lafayette he is currently teaching music theory, music history, and piano courses. Apart from performing and teaching, his research interests include the life and works of Robert Schumann, non-equal temperament tuning systems, and the literary intertextuality of Bob Dylan lyrics.
Ian Moschenross earned a B.A. in Music from Hanover College (IN) and the M.M. and D.M.A. in piano performance from The University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
