In person or on zoom

Conrad writes:

My thesis discusses two original musical compositions. The first is a piece for chamber orchestra, written for the PA Sinfonia. The second is a collaborative album based on materials generated for the first project. I provide analysis of my work, description of my compositional process, and some self-critique. Through doing so, I pose several questions regarding musical form, genre, and method in the context of contemporary classical music.
Damoi writes:

This thesis is a multi-media summation of my primary creative and scholarly research endeavors at Lafayette. It includes Reflections Abroad – a full-length album of original music; Entries of Freeformers and Friends, an evening-length performance; discussion & analysis of both works; history of my primary instrument, the steel pan; reflection on trends in contemporary pan performance; and thoughts on current & future directions for research, professional performance, and composition work involving the steel pan
