Interested and motivated students may participate in chamber ensembles at Lafayette.

Chamber ensemble

These groups of three-five students may be student-initiated or formed by faculty. Wind, brass, string, and piano players can form chamber ensembles.

Performers interested in playing chamber music can register for credit. Each ensemble is required to rehearse at least twice each week: once with a faculty coach, and once independently.

Interested students should contact Darin Lewis to form an ensemble.

Typical chamber ensembles include (but are not necessarily limited to):

  • Piano trio, quartet, quintet
  • String quartet
  • Woodwind trio, quartet, quintet
  • Brass quintet

Highly advanced students may be selected to perform with the Contemporary Music Ensemble.
